While in the Outagamie County veteran’s treatment court I learned about Veterans Village and applied to get in. Not only is Veterans Village affordable but the vibe of living among fellow veterans has helped in my road to staying clean.

Jim is just one of the 48 veterans currently living and receiving services at WisVVA. Before coming here, Jim, a U.S. Navy veteran, bounced between veterans’ homes and homeless shelters.
Timothy’s Story

“Many veterans experience periods of loneliness, anxiety, depression, and financial hardship – all of which can lead to homelessness. That’s why having a place like Veterans Village is such a tremendous relief.”
The Village provides safe, low-cost housing specifically for veterans, along with essential support services. These access to a nearby VA Health clinic, on-site alcohol and drug counseling, and a wellness center equipped with exercise facilities.

“Living among other veterans is great. We chat and check in with each other. It’s nice having the extra support and a stable place to live that is all my own.”
Craig experiences many benefits from living at the Veterans Village, chief among them is an affordable place to live.
