DESCRIPTION:About Our Chapter\nAppleton VVA Chapter 351 is aligned with Vietnam Veterans of America\, chartered by Congress in 1986 and dedicated to Vietnam-era Veterans and their families. VVA actively promotes the following goals: \n\nAdvocate on important issues: health care and well-being of veterans; we aid lobbying efforts that support veteran’s issues\nContinually seek the fullest accounting of POW/MIAs and support our next generation of American war veterans\n\nWhat We Do\n\nWe hold regular meetings\, promote social events\, hold fundraising drives throughout the year to benefit veterans and their families\nWe organize a mobile education program called Reflections of Vietnam\, which travels to high schools and other venues to teach young folks and the public about Vietnam\, and positively change the public perception of Vietnam Veterans.\nWe organize/host seminars on Toxic Substances used in wars to help the public understand the long-term effects of these toxins on their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

SUMMARY:Daughters of the American Revolution - Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Appleton Chapter\, NSDAR\, holds monthly meetings\, September through May. We get together occasionally for social events and volunteering outside of those scheduled meeting times. The location changes with each month. Contact us for meeting locations.We are a very active DAR chapter and enjoy meeting regularly. The chapter promotes historic preservation\, education and patriotism.  Guest speakers and members provide interesting programs\, relating to a wide variety of subjects. Subjects include community projects\, lineage and genealogical research\, history\, and current issues of concern.Prospective members are welcome and assistance with filling out DAR application papers is available.
